Project Brainwash is an effort to create a "Newbie Track" on Thursday at DefCon so as to introduce the first time con goers as well as well as the "new hackers" to the various aspects of DefCon and hacking in general. It will also afford those hackers who specialize in certain areas to branch out and expand their knowledge base.
The effort is being coordinated by some senior members of the DefCon Community, in hopes to share their knowledge and experience with the next hacker generation and those looking to learn about DefCon in general.
Currently Project Brainwash is in the planning stages.
The name "Project Brainwash" is a working title. It is not the production title. It allows those of us who are working on it to quickly reference it as well as know what others are referencing when they mention it. Moreover it injects a bit of humor into a project that could take a very serious tone.
At the current time, coordination for Project Brainwash is being done on a mailing list. Feel free to signup if you'd like to be involved. New Users should remember to read the Archives before sending out their first message, your question may have already been asked and answered
Our proposed lists of track ideas is available (subject to dramatic change!)
